The R3POWER project is presented as a comprehensive, reliable and robust initiative for the ‘comprehensive circular repowering’ of wind farms, applying three joint strategies that maximise circularity in waste management -Reuse, Recycling and Revaluation (zero waste)- and in its prevention -new easily recyclable and repairable materials- all catalysed by cross-cutting technologies such as AI, pursuing the low environmental and economic impact of each strategy.

To this end, an interdisciplinary consortium has been formed with a group of eight companies: NORVENTO (leader), RENERCYCLE, TEMHA, GIRAWIND, ACTECO, HI-IBERIA, AEROBLADE, AEROX and a group of four public and private research organisations: CETIM, AIMEN, UVA and CIEMAT, which has been awarded public funding by the CENTRE FOR TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT AND INNOVATION E.P.E. (CDTI) through the call for proposals for the “Science and Innovation Missions – Transmissions” programme in 2024, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan and the Next Generation EU programme.
